Mark Johnson
- Explorer Extraordinaire. Hello Folks, I'm Mark, the accompanying
photo is one of me some years back climbing the North Face of the
Eiger. It took me and some colleagues 3 days to complete the climb
as we had some difficulty traversing the ice fields as these are
now melting and the permafrost is causing the rock face to crumble.
It is now considered too dangerous to attempt the North Face due
to deteriorating conditions. I have made 2 attempts of Everest but
have been driven back by adverse conditions, perhaps this is not
meant to be. I've taken on the 6 peaks challenge to raise money
for good causes and for a bit of fun and hopefully my training to
date will have paid off.
Mark is a veteran of many climbs around the globe, Kilimanjaro,
Mont Blanc, Matterhorn to name a few, perhaps his biggest climb
was back to his bar stool after downing half a bottle of Ouzo and
a few glasses of Metaxa in Corfu in 2005. "It was a daunting
experience" said Mark, "It took me days to recover",
he stated when questioned.

Russell Evans
- The Warlord. In the early 1970's there was a child born
of Nigerian royal blood. That child was educated in the best Welsh
universities; completing his degrees with flying colours. Since
then, the royal Prince, has spawned more offspring than you can
shake an Irish shillelagh at! He spent his youth in the savannas
of Swaziland grooming his many wives in preparation for life. After
spending many hot afternoons hunting down wildebeest and lion he
decided it would be best for his future to move to the United Kingdom
to further his career. Following his University time the Prince
decided that Ukrainian blood is the new gene pool to get into and
so again he moved. After spending a lot of time sampling the local
night life around Kiev and Odessa Port the Prince decided to take
a bride and introduce his Princess to Royal blood. The Prince now
works and lives a life of tranquillity and restfulness whilst carrying
out his career; without his fellow workers knowing his background.
He has taken up walking the country he intends to rule by traditionally
climbing the tallest peaks in each country before claiming the land!

Carl Diggens
- Map man. Known
as Dr D and pictured here at the back on the far left with this
motley group of intrepid explorers whilst sailing the dangerous
and up until recently uncharted waters of St George's Channel and
then on to the Irish Sea. This is the first time man is known to
have ventured into these dangerous, uncharted waters and it was
here that he earned the name Map Man whilst working to chart these
waters to ensure safe passage for future explorations. It is good
to know there are still people out there who are willing to risk
all and go were mere mortals fear to tread to further the boundaries
of man.
With his work in our coastal waters completed he is now using the
skills learnt during his time there to Map some of the most dangerous
and treacherous mountainous peaks throughout our islands. In 2005
he embarked on a 3 day expedition, to scale the 4 tallest peaks
in our isles with a team of three other intrepid explorers who have
now all become known as the BSE Team. They endured extreme weather
conditions and encountered large packs of dangerous man eating wild
marauding white woolly beasts. The team now fully recovered from
there previous harrowing expedition and now nine strong, is to embark
on their most hazardous journey to date. They are to climb 6 of
the highest peaks our islands have to offer in only 72 hours, not
only will they be mapping this uncharted wilderness but they plan
to raise some valued sponsorship for two worthy charities.
You can help support this extraordinary adventure and make sure
the efforts of our intrepid explorers are not in vain. To add your
valued support and help the BSE Team return triumphant from their
expedition just go to the home page and make your generous donation
on-line by clicking on the big red button and follow the link to
your chosen charity.
Thank you and log on again to keep up to date with the next thrilling
expedition of the BSE Team as they rewrite the history books of
our great nation.

Adrian Wisner
Incredibly famous, and Oscar nominated Actor, Producer
and Director Adrain Wisner is taking a well earned break from his
role as Lead Actor, Producer and Director in the new Hollywood blockbuster
about man-eating herbs called "Do It To Me (Baby) One More
Thyme" to take part in the gruelling 6 Peaks Challenge.
Speaking to our reporter
Strangely Brown from his ocean-going yacht in Yarmouth Marina Adrain
commented "It's such a thrill spending time with basic, simple
people instead of the sophisticated individuals I'm used to being
with in Hollywood. I can't wait to see how the other half live and
how they'll cope with such a demanding challenge. I have such a
fantastic life compared to the other people that are undertaking
the 6 Peaks Challenge, I really think they will be so grateful for
me spending my valuable time with them for a couple of days. I am
confident that their lives will be enriched by my presence and I'm
sure they'll waste no time at all in showing me how grateful they
are!"
Adrain's next project,
when filming is completed and the 6 Peaks Challenge has been overcome
is to return to his grass roots of football coaching. His appointment
as the next England Manager, which is due to be announced soon,
will thrill his army of fans around the small cul-de-sac where his
brother used to live in Leatherhead. Adrain is well known for his
outspoken remarks regarding all aspects of football and he is not
afraid to really show his feelings about the game. He was famously
put on record recently when asked if he thought the new Wembley
Stadium would be built on time and to budget, he answered with the
immortal phrase "I dunno!".
Additionally, a really
famous English midfield footballer, who plays in Spain, is married
to a pop star and has 2 kids, and has the initials DB spoke on the
rumours about Adrain's soon-to-be-announced appointment as England
Manager saying "…there's nothing like a good England
Manager…………and Adrain is nothing like a
good England Manager….".

Martin Egan -
The Bodyguard Hello, my name is Martin Egan and I am 33
years old (Unlike Russell who is 33 Dog years old). After been thrown
out of the leprechaun union for growing too tall I came to England.
I went to college and this is where I met Russell and discovered
you don’t need to be clever to get a degree. I worked as a
horse drawn draughtsman until the invention of computers and now
doodle and colour in electronically but always between the lines.
I am not known for participating in exercise so I thought the 6
peaks was a good place to start. Both Mark and myself are excellent
mountaineers and have demolished many mountains of food in the Ford
Canteen. So finishing 6 in 72 hours is no trouble. But after some
wise words from the old sage of FPP Mr Clarke (who was in school
with Plato Dad you know) we decided to climb the six peaks. Being
Irish I always have my Lucky Charms at the ready, while I dig trenches
on roadsides. But I also have a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow
so it's not all bad. So please sponsor me GO ON GO ON GO ON GO ON
YOU WILL YOU WILL YOU WILL FATHER TED

James Cowan -
The Chef
was born in Glasgow at the tender age of three. It is reputed that
his first spoken word was "Mountain" though it has since
been proven that this was a complete untruth! His roots in climbing
stem from his love of high things, such as really big buildings,
wardrobes and James Blunt and stuff. Like many of today's climbers,
James has spent endless hours perfecting his craft by watching back
to back reruns of "Cliff hanger" and the opening scenes
from "Mission Impossible". On his most recent expedition,
James, Joined by Russell Evans embarked on what they both knew would
be the most challenging venture they had ever undertaken!! They
had the crazy idea of taking their children on a trip to London
during the recent half term break!!!!!!! One taxi, a train and two
tubes later they arrived at Hyde Park corner where their mission
was to feed the squirrels. Mission accomplished, Squirrels fed and
Russell's back pack 1.5 kilos lighter (big bag of nuts, mostly eaten
by kids) it was time for lunch. After two more tubes we arrived
at the Rain Forest Café where we fed the team. Mission accomplished,
troops fed and our wallets 120 pounds lighter (And yes, I do mean
£'s). Now for the crowning glory, a trip to Hamley's! After
two busses (in the wrong direction) we arrived at the store. Five
floors of toys with a 2, 3, 6 and 7 year old (oh yes, and Russell)
it was tough but we executed it with remarkable ease. Unfortunately
though, we were not back at base camp yet! After a further two tubes,
a train and bus all during rush hour, we arrived back home (few)
where after putting the kids to bed we sank three bottles of wine,
two large cigars and spent two and a half hours in James's hot tub
(Ahhhhhh). 6 Peak training complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
