Save the Children

	Please take just a few minutes to read this web page.   In a rapidly changing world where more material possessions are made increasingly available, there are millions of children who each day are denied the basic human rights:- Food, Education and Health Care.   These rights are expected by the decreasing percentage of worlds population who control an increasing percentage of the worlds wealth.   The Save The Children charity is working in over 70 countries, including the U.K., to help give children these basic rights and so the greater chance of a healthy, happy and secure childhood. In 1999/2000 the charity raised £100 million, of which 85% was spent directly on child welfare related projects throughout the world.
